CURRENT MISSION

To see a friendly face in a new place. I could get a hotel or hostel, but it doesnt compare to meeting locals and getting away from the touristy thing.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, but am bored of the hotel thing. My favorite part of going somewhere new is experiencing it as if I lived there.
Last year I attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks but decided not to go back because I got an itch and realized I must get out of AK befor I can continue on w/ my studies. Sometimes I worry that I'm a commitment-phobe because I have a hard time staying in one place and doing the same thing, like going to school for more than a year straight, or having a long term romance. Its hard to stand still for long.
I do realize that school is very importand, but so is being young and having fun. Still working on finding the right balance...

PHILOSOPHY

If your not having fun, then why continue with what you're doing. Its true for relationships, frienships, jobs, everything basically.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I do live at home, w/ my dad who is not into the hosting idea. However if anyone needs a tour guide for a day, or any assistance in my area, I'd be thrilled to help out.

Meeting new people, politics, my dog, finding and downloading new music, or even better buying the cds secondhand, hanging out w/ friends and enjoying them for their different quirks and personalities.

Movies: Most anything that was produced in the 80's and 90's. Love American Psycho and Edward Scissor Hands.

Music: All. For the most part, I'm very open and can find enjoyment in genre.

Books: Old Russian authors are my favorite right now. Tolstoy, Chekhov and Kafka are fantastic.
