I love hosting incredible surfers and I love surfing with awesome hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful experience meeting CSers in Mexico City and Chiang Mai, Thailand and couchsurfing in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Buenos Aires, Istanbul.
Have hosted in Denton, TX.

Music: lots of world music (I was a world music radio DJ in college), love reggae, mento, rocksteady, ska and most old school Jamaican stuff
Also, BIG fan of This American Life and storytelling in all its forms

Books: Living Buddha, Living Christ; and a ton of narrative non-fiction

- Working at the Chilean miners' rescue in 2010 as an assistant photographer. Such a media circus!
- Covering the 2010 earthquake and tsunami in Chile (truly horrifying to see the destruction)
- Eddie Adams Workshop XXV - there is no greater awe-inspiring weekend for a photojournalist than this one.
