About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No worry, no hurry, and once I get to India....chicken curry.

ABOUT ME

I'm 5'4", white with olive overtones, hazel eyes and a big schnozz. When you see me you might think Sicilian, or you might think Jewish. If you guess the first you'd be right. Nevertheless I order kosher food on flights and wait to see if anyone talks to me in Hebrew, which unfortunately I don't understand.

I have a fondness for language and words, for the heights and depths of the outdoors, for discovering new recipes through experimentation, and for growing things when I have dirt at my disposal.

I'm a bit of a tomboy, but I still want a pony.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't die in a scooter accident.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I'll be meeting some of you out there and taking you out for a drink. I'd like to hear your stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After graduating college in a downturn economy I surfed friend's houses for a couple of months while I was looking for work and an apartment. It turned out to be good fun, having time to get to know my friends' families and hear stories and see embarrassing baby pictures. I found out how little I needed to be comfortable and that community is built most easily by living close to the people around you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made it to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite. I trained by going bowling and eating corn dogs. Really that was just a stupid thing I've done, but it was awesome from the top!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make caramel out of a can of condensed milk, without ever opening the can.

I'd like to learn how to spin poi without whacking myself in the noggin every minute, and also the mysteries of how to make curries.
