Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am used to traveling abroad and staying as a guest in peoples homes. I have done this independently over many years in a number of countries in Latin America. I have traveled twice to Cuba where each night was a new night and a new place to stay---depending upon the people I met each day.

Interests

I love bluegrass & country music, play guitar and sing(albeit I have been on a rather long hiatus from that ). I love adventure travel and foreign languages. I have loved being a dad to a wonderful daughter (now in college)and a son(senior in high school)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things and thoughts come to mind. ONe of the most beautiful memories that comes to mind was being above timberline, sleeping in a snow cave during a winter ascent of Long's Peak in Colorado. The night was so crystal clear and the moon was SO huge and gorgeous---it was so bright and clear that it seemed Ii could even make out pebbles in the craters...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be happy to share some of my day to day life like making music, brewing beer, playing golf, working out, playing at the lake, restauranting and shopping garage sales.
