ABOUT ME
I am a very easy going and good-natured girl who loves meeting people and discovering new things, making new experiences.
I love travelling all around the world and sampling all the food specialities.
PHILOSOPHY
"Carpe Diem", seize the day.
Life is too short and there are so many things to be done, seen and experienced. So make the most of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had so amazing couchsurfing experiences, especially in Japan, that I would like to return the favour. Japanese people really know what hospitality means.I learnt so much from them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had memorable couchsurfing experiences during our last trips to Mexico and Eastern Europe. We met local people who were so nice to us. We often had interesting and funny conversations enabling us to get an insight into their cultures, traditions and ways of life. Sometimes, they could even show us around. They were always willing to help us discover the best parts that their city had to offer such as the local markets, the locally praised dining places and so on. This is how we love travelling: by meeting new people and sharing new things. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Couchsurfing definetely changes our way of travelling.
Interests
I am an English teacher and I have great interests in everything related to English-speaking countries: the language, literature, music, food, culture. I am also very keen on learning new languages. My current challenge is to learn Spanish to be able to manage on my own in Peru and Bolivia, my future destinations within the next years.
Travelling: I am so fond of travelling around the world. Always curious about discovering new places, new cultures (languages, traditions as well as local food) and meeting people.
My next dream destinations? Certainly New Zealand or South America. Who knows where the wind will take me.

Cooking: I love cooking and eating all types of food, trying on new recipes and doing some experimental meals. And I dare say that although I am not a cook, I'm not doing bad at all! But of course, I always need people to taste my new recipes. Hopefully, I can count on my boyfriend to achieve this tricky mission.
Photography & Video: I have a passion for what I would call "artistic photos". I love taking pictures. I am not a professional at all but I like making photo albums or short films featuring my trips to make them unforgettable.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am crazy about listening to music, especially pop rock music and discovering some unknown bands or singers: Dave Matthews, Tori Amos, A.O.R, Lifehouse, Five for fighting, Goo Goo Dolls, Joseph Arthur, Matt Nathanson, Damien Rice, Kate Nash,The Fray, Snow Patrol, 3 Doors Down...and so many others.
I have a current mission: reading all the Harry Potters before watching all the movies.
I have recently discovered "Breaking Bad" and I have to admit that I am a great fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would think about the Grand Canyon in the USA but also Kalbarri National Park in Australia. The landscapes were just awesome. You feel that you are very small in a very big world.
Swimming in Cenotes in the Yucatan in Mexico is also a fantastic experience I had the opportunity to make. It was just extraordinary to swim among the fish in what was a sacred place for the Mayan people.
Before turning thirty, I wanted to climb up Mount Fuji in Japan and see the sun rising in the early morning up there and...I did it. Yatta!!! Just magical. It seems like Mother Nature was offering me the most precious treasure in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Travelling is the opportunity to discover and share great experiences that you would have never done if you had stayed at home. So I love learning new recipes from the countries I visited and tried to make them once at home. I can teach you cooking some French or Vietnamese specialities.
