ABOUT ME

I have a face full of freckles.
I like discussing how the mind and body are connected.
I'm an introvert who loves people.
I'm a science nerd who has a deep passion for the arts.
Eating is a spiritual experience for me.
Yoga keeps me balanced and grounded.
I like to play.

I dance because it feeds me. From the soles of my feet to the tips of my fingers, moving helps me tap into my most authentic and powerful self. When I become uninspired, discouraged, or fearful, dance never fails to remind me of the artist that exists in my soul. That this artist inside of me thirsts after a type of creation that co-exists with my community, an evolution that is headed towards goodness, and ultimately a greater connection to myself and the world around me.

PHILOSOPHY

Well first of all, life is painfully beautiful. I thirst after it - crave to know all of it. Even the dark, heavy stuff.

I also believe that coincidences are laws that have yet to be discovered.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been warmly welcomed as a surfer in Salt Lake City, Detroit, and California.

I went on a brewery tour with some spirited Portland folks from the CS family about a year ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have founded my own organization that uses art for social change (www.faceforwardmn.com)

I ran a dance studio for a summer.

I can teach both dance and yoga. I also love poetry - both listening to others and reading my own out loud.
