About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find my purpose and have some fun and great experiences while doing so.
ABOUT ME
My friends would say that I am a friendly, easygoing, and caring guy who is fun to spend time with and rewarding to get to know on a deeper level. I usually work pretty hard to achieve the goals that I set out for myself, and now my goals are to explore, learn, live, grow, and meet wonderful and interesting people along the way. I recently quit my corporate job to travel and play poker. So far my travels have been limited to the United States, but eventually/soon I plan on flying out to Melbourne, Australia for a few months.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had the privilege to Couch Surf once so far.
Interests
Well, I get pretty stoked to engage in anything competitive -- board games, card games, sports, etc. But I also love spending time with friends and family, going on new adventures, reading, watching movies, rooting on my favorite sports teams, and just sometimes, engaging in utter ridiculousness. Oh, and eating pizza.

Music, Movies, and Books
Fight Club! Also, Little Miss Sunshine and American Beauty. Wedding crashers, American History X, Rounders, Magnolia, Jurassic Park, Bill Murray. And so forth.
I have a very surface level (aka what's on the radio) appreciation of pretty every type of music (except Country),so I usually don't listen to one type or listen to the whole album of a particular artist (though I hope to change this last part). However, I'll usually listen to alternative rock, and a few artists whose albums I have enjoyed include the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day. Despite my relative lack of musical depth, I do find music very enjoyable and often touching and meaningful.
Books: Slaughterhouse Five would have to be my favorite, but I also became very absorbed with Agatha Christie's mystery books when I was in high school, my favorite being And Then There Were None. I really enjoyed The Stand by Stephen King, and The Shawshank Redemption by him as well. There are others that I can't think of right now. There are also plenty of other amazing books that I have yet to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As I am but a young pup when it comes to travelling, I cannot tell you that I have scaled the top of Mount Such and Such or attained enlightenment under Monk So and So, but I have swam with (okay, near) a pack of dolphins that spontaneously approached me in the ocean, shook the President's hand, and hitch hiked.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely teach you the basic concepts and strategies of poker, as well as a few school subjects that I took (such as math and business-related courses), assuming I remember the concepts/you have a book in front of you that can prime my brain.
I would love to learn anything! There are plenty of useful things that I don't know. These include, but are not limited to, outdoor skills, handyman skills, and car repair/maintenance skills. However, I love to learn in general,so if you are passionate about something, that usually means that I would love to hear more about it and learn from you.
