WANDER THE WORLD and make my passport proud!
I'm currently living with someone who is not down with Couchsurfing. I'm available to meet up, though.
If you are coming from BUSH IAH airport, check this out https://www.ridemetro.org/MetroPDFs/Schedules/BusSchedules/n102-Bush-IAH-Express.pdf
I like to live life to the fullest. I am outgoing and like to try new things. I will go out of my way to help you in any way.
YOLO!..You only live once, sounds immature but it's essentially very true. If you don't try something out now, when?..Now is the time, tomorrow may not come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to make it out to the Houston events once in a while.
My first experience with CS was in June 2012 in Mexico City, I made a couple of good friends and we toured the city together! I haven't surfed too much, but I always try to find CS events whenever I am abroad. I've always had a great time doing that.
I love Latin America, my goal was to have visited all Spanish-speaking countries by age 30. (16 down/ 4 to go) love to go out and enjoy a few drinks and dancing, too. I am a high school Spanish teacher, so I love everything español.
- solo travel
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: anything- except heavy metal
Authors: García Márquez, Borges, Cortázar, Allende, Lorca, Neruda.
Movies: Almodovar, Eastwood, Iñarritu, anything en español!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My senior year in college, I received a scholarship to go and teach English at a rural school in Guatemala. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had. Seeing the children's faces as they learn is simply rewarding.
After undergrad, I decided to go and visit a friend in Perú. I am in love with Peruvian culture, cusine, and their people. As you can imagine, seeing Macchu Picchu in person was simply breathtaking. I studied Latin American History so being there completed a circle for me. It was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to cook, so perhaps I can cook something for you when I come over (Although I have not cooked in over a year..lol)..and I also enjoy dancing ..and would be happy to teach you a few steps and I am a Spanish teacher..and would love to share that, too!
