I'm a friendly, easy going and likable guy. I am considerate, respectful and clean. My mantra is to treat others the way I want to be treated. I'm gay and I want it to put out there because some people might be uncomfortable with it. I love trying new food and cooking. I'm the kind of person that will always want to try the local cuisine. I really don't get why people travel to a different country to end up eating what they can eat at home. What's the point of travelling if you don't learn about the culture and habits of the place you are visiting! I also love art, cinema, design, music and photography. So, for sure you will find me in museums, galleries or cultural centers. But I also love nature so I will try to find a park or lake or some green space or somewhere near water. I'm not into partying anymore, not sure if I ever was, actually. I definitely prefer a nice dinner or drinks at home where you can chill and talk without having to scream in someone's ear to get understood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some of my friends and co-workers have tried couchsurfing and they really liked the experience. I guess meeting locals gives you the opportunity to really get to know a place, and go beyond the tourist spots. I have stayed in hostels and I've had a great time in many of them and made friends from different countries. However, when you stay in hostels you usually meet foreigners and not locals. And that is something that I really want to do and that has been missing from my travels. So, hopefully Couchsurfing will give me the chance to meet local people and have a real and authentic cultural exchange for once.

Interests

Right now I'm in love with photography, I've always liked it by only recently I started taking pictures as a hobby. It gives me so much pleasure and I'm counting on taking tons of pictures while I travel. I love fashion, art and design. I also love cooking and trying new food, movies (mainstream and independent), architecture, almost all kinds of music, dancing and of course, traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost all types of music. I have a thing for film scores which is something not many people are interested in, I guess. Big fan of Neil Gaiman and fantasy/science fiction books. I love movies and my favorite ones are probably foreign (Korea and Japan).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running in the countryside in Grindelwald (Switzerland). Seeing Paris at night from the Eiffel Tower. Trying pan con tomate (tomato bread) in Barcelona. Marveling at the mountains in Machu Picchu.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give you relationship advice (not really, just kidding). I love meeting people from other cities/ countries/cultures; and meeting someone new is an opportunity to share some of your experiences and knowledge. And I love to cook, so I'll be happy to cook for you! I am not a professional but I love to do it and everything I've done tastes pretty great (at least to my family and friends).
