About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expolore and see if I can find if I have a true purpose in life

ABOUT ME

Since I left home in the late 60's and moved to London from Cornwall in the UK I've been interested in the Counter Culture and alternative thinkers.
I moved to Melbourne, Australia and built a life here.
My ex-wife died a few years ago and left me to raise our two boys who are almost ready to leave home and run their own lives.
Now it's time for me to get back to explore the world and work out what I'd like to do with the rest of my life.
I've mostly worked in music related pursuits - as a DJ, sound engineer, booking agent and band manager.

PHILOSOPHY

as far as my spirituality goes I'm agnostic rather than atheist.
I appreciate the buddhist philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try and see at least one film a week. Just saw The Informant directed by Steven Soderbergh. One of my favourite directors - a great film that looks below the surface of what what people seem to be. Matt Damon is a great character actor in this. Before that I watched the new Coen Brothers film a serious man a brilliant black comedy about an American Jewish man's life in the 60's as it slowly unravels.
Jacques Tati's Traffic and Playtime, Marx Brothers films, the System starring Oliver Reed, Performance, & François Truffaut's film Day for Night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once slept on Ipanema beach in Brazil and was awoken by two dudes with guns. I can tell you the story about I lived to tell the tale.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Australia and other places I've been, I know a lot about music related stuff and running a book shop.
