About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be helpful, keep learning, and have fun!
ABOUT ME
How do I not sound like a dork or an egotistical snob? I'm a smiley, practical, talkative, empathetic, and nonjudgemental girl who's rough around the edges. I speak sarcastically, but I'm told that I have an optimistic attitude. I say things that might seem shocking, but only to keep myself from getting bored with myself. I might be loud when having fun, and bold when I ask all my questions without hesitation, but I'm a quiet, patient listener. I'm a go-getter, but I really feel like a slacker! I hate office work and I love working directly with people. I feel very lame writing this...
PHILOSOPHY
I can't control the world, but I can control myself and make my environment a better place through my attitude and actions. Respect is so integral, and this can be demonstrated by listening to others and remembering that there's always more to the story. Don't judge, but have standards! Don't ever let yourself get bored. Try to be good, and learn from mistakes rather than regret them. Make the most of a situation with what you have. All of these things are easier said than done. :) Be joyful, but above all else, be honest! And don't litter!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I spread the word about CS more than anything! I've hosted, been hosted, and met up with people while they're traveling or while I'm traveling. All of these experiences have enriched my life and my connectivity to my extended community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I wrote this before I couchsurfed, but I decided to leave it up anyway: I don't know if this counts as "couchsurfing," but it's in the spirit of it. I was exiting a plane in San Francisco, and I overheard some guy asking if anyone was going to Haight-Ashbury and could give him a ride. I wasn't, but anyone who hitchhikes on a plane had to be interesting. I gave the guy a ride to meet his friend, and he was supercool. It was fun, and I look forward to more stuff like that.
Interests
live music, and listening to music while reading the lyrics, theater, comedy, food, wine, clubbing, movies, observational tv... I'm big into the arts. I love talking to experts about their expertise. I love traveling! I love anything new.

Music, Movies, and Books
aw man... too many... I appreciate most everything. I like a lot, and I love quite a few. I will say though, that the most profound movie I've seen in years was the documentary Born into Brothels. I can't say enough about it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That's a tough question. Amazing is relative.
Teach, Learn, Share
I worked on continuity for film in LA for over a year, and I just finished working for three years as an EFL teacher for children and adults in Korea. I'm an open book and I'll elaborate on any of my thoughts and experiences. Seriously. No topic is taboo. I also want to know whatever you know! I find a person's perspective very interesting.
