ABOUT ME

I'm a writer, reader, reporter, thinker, musician and heavy-sleeper. I ride bikes, I drive cars. I don't travel as much as I'd like to, which is what makes me happy about the potential Couchsurfing presents. I tend to whistle a lot, often without realizing I'm doing it. I've got a bachelor's degree, but I yearn to go back to school. I tend to sit the fence when it comes to complex issues because I can see both sides too well. I love dogs, but I don't have one, and it eats me up inside. I'm very fond of my own handwriting.

PHILOSOPHY

If feel like a personal philosophy should be something pithy and profound. Unfortunately, all I've got right now is this, ripped off from one of my favorite movies from childhood: Be excellent to each other.

So far I haven't participated. I came here looking for a place to crash but soon realized couch surfing can be a lot more than that. I hope it will be for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I've never couchsurfed through this site yet, but I have slept on plenty of couches in my time.

Movies: Movies that are long on character development and plot and short on no-reason explosions.

Music: Progressive rock, Porcupine Tree, Rush, Kansas, echolyn, Dream Theater, Guster, The Beatles, Muse, Jethro Tull, jazz, Phideaux, XTC, the Moody Blues, Midnight Oil, classical and on and on.

Books: Many books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sat with friends watching the Northern Lights playing in the sky and on the reflection of a crystal clear lake in the summertime.
