About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Annihilate stupidity

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy father of a little girl and in love with a charming belgian girl. I've spent my life moving from here to there and will probably continue like that for a little while. I like travelling but prefer to take my time to get to know the people I meet a little better. I tell myself that you can always buy a little scenery but never a good friendship. I like to get familiar with a place I'm visiting instead of flashing through and leaving with only a couple pictures with which to remember my stay.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing's gonna be all right now. With Bob Marley I always love to cite Leonard Cohen who says that there's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much into Foucault nowadays, and getting back into hip-hop (indy) after a couple years of leave. I'm reading The perfume by Patrick Suskin. It's pretty good but I can't see how the can translate this book into a movie. I haven't seen it but since I love litterature as well as cinema, I rarely appreciate when one phagocytes (I love that word check it out you'll adopt it and sound awfully proposterous when throwing it out at those lucious cocktail parties you always go to) the other. A couple adaptations have turned out to become masterpieces like Apocalypse Now which is a free adaptation of Conrad's Heart of Darkness but they are rare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- The Summit of the Americas in Quebec City in april 2001 (yes that is before september). I was part of the organization of the Alternative Media Center and member of the photo collective. I was severly gassed and a little paranoïd at night when riot squad platoons were patrolling the city center holding HK submachinguns and arresting everybody then met. I know that this may be normal for some people but it wasn't for us here in Quebec and it was the first time I say the exercice of power in it's brutest form. Usually it's more subtle here.

- Fathered a lovely little girl who refuses to let me sleep but insists that I share her bewilderment before the world she is constantly exploring.

- These are some highlights. Others will come. That's why I continue to breath every minute, and dance a bit when I can.
