I live on Waiheke Is, a 35min ferry ride out of Auckland City. I am relaxed, some say a little quirky, into enjoyment of life. Liberal in my outlook and love getting into discussions from the "deep meaningful" to flippant banter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have only had the time to host a few couchsurfers, a couple of years back, but back occasionally hosting again, have had some amazing people here. I also have had a several travellers from "Helpx", I love a free spirit.

Interests

Good healthy food, music, watching Festival type movies, enjoying good company and discussing interesting stuff, learning new things, drop pretentions, solve the worlds problems, a good laugh.....relax. I enjoy giving and receiving a massage and have taught this to several travellers passing this way.... is the best way to really chill out. But not adverse to going out for a beer either!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies; "OOS117 Lost in Rio", "Frida", "A Film With Me In It" manly offbeat festival type films.
Music; all genres... but not a disco bunny!
Books; Thriller stuff like the Girl with the dragon Tattoo series, occasionally dive into a non fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From a yacht sailing up the coast of Morroco at night, watching an orange moon rise over the distant Sahara, with phosphorescent dolphins playing around the hull.

I love to learn something new, or get a new perspective on something. I have taught and enjoy teaching massage, my other passion is sailing
