HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I was raised in Warsaw and know the city well, I can be your guide. (but pls do not ask me to go to the castle in the old town - so boring) I would be happy to show you less touristic places, nice bars and coffee shops and hang out a bit.
Sometimes I can offer my couch.

those few I had were very positive.

Interests

1. travelling: I am very much into meeting new people and travelling, although, as you could have noticed, all my trips were limited to Europe. But it might change very soon as I have some more distant destinations on my mind :-)
2. films: I like Polanski, Kieslowski, Lars von Trier and Haneke.
3. books: I cannot specify any particular type. As long as it is well written it might be almost everything from biographies to criminal stories.
4. design and art: usually the one, which I cannot afford :-)
5. music: from time to time I am going to concerts and music festivals, but still doing it too rarely. This year I want to catch up on it. I have already planned to go to the Heineken Open'er Festival in Gdansk and Free Form Festival in Warsaw.
6. good food: unfortunately I cannot say I am a very gifted cook. But a simple Italian or Spanish meal can make my day :-) I love to try new things, explore new bars and restaurants.
7. table football :-) I am very passionate about it although I am a terrible player.
8. Wine.. :-) (if it is sparkling and comes from Italy I am more than happy!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Bernhard Schlink, Terry Pratchett, Zadie Smith and many other writers... I love films directed by Polish directors like Roman Polanski and Krzysztof Kieslowski. In general I like European independent films. (rather than expensive films produced by "big six")

From time to time I got addicted to some TV Shows. Breaking Bad, Dexter, Mad men were ones of these. Friends will remain my favourite TV Show for ever. And sometimes I am more into something girlish like Downton Abbey with absolutely wonderful Maggie Smith. My last discovery is House of Cards with Kevin Spacey.

I can tell you about Poland and its culture, countries I have visited. I would love to learn Spanish but I do not imagine it would work within a few days. It would be great to refresh my German skills.
