About Me

**I'm not here for a hookup or date**

My first travel was in Thailand. I was supposed to study there but I quit because I tasted my first travel before the school which was too eye-opening for me to stay at school. 😆 I travelled 3 months instead.
Later I went to Australia on a working holiday visa with a suitcase, without any job or place to stay, just one day booked at a hostel. I planned to live there for 1 year, which became 3 years, including very intense Covid time. There were a lot of struggles, happiness, discoveries, lessons, cries, scams and so much more. (Lots of stories I can tell haha…) I remember this experience as one of the most vivid and vibrant time of my life which I cherish and miss a lot.
I came to Europe this year to work, but weather was too nice to stay in the office so I accidentally quit 🥺 oops, might as well be travelling again. 😅

I’ve always loved thinking outside the box and that’s why I fell in love with travelling, which makes you see the world and yourself in a different view and make you not stuck in one way of thinking and free. And you get to see your life in a whole different way.

I’m a calm introvert who loves deep, prolonged conversations overnight with a small number of people. But I'm also bubbly giggly when I'm with people that I feel comfortable to be around.
I'm always curious about the world and people, and my life has been all about getting out of comfort zone and trying new things!
I like to keep my life and travel very spontaneous and flexible. I usually don't know what I'll be doing even next week. 😆 And I'll probably ask you what I should do on my arrival. 😂
I'm not good at guessing game at all, and I prefer clear communication. 😊

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like almost all genre, including folks, bosa nova, rocks, jazz etc. Not a big fan of mainstream pops though. I love indie musics.
My favorite musicians are: Ichiko Aoba, Parcels, Yeoyu and Seolbin, Kings of Convenience, Audio Dope, Suede, Stan Getz, João Gilberto, Mura Masa and more.

Books: I love memoirs and novels.
My favorite books: My Sweet Orange Tree by José Mauro de Vasconcelos, A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf, L'Etranger by Albert Camus, Harry Potter, The Vegetarian by Han Kang, and many Korean books that don't have a translated version.

Favorite movies: Billy Elliot, The Fall, Life of Pi, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Brooklyn, Rough Night, Lady Mcbeth, I Daniel Blake, Room, Pan's Labyrinth, The Handmaiden, Parasite, Get Out, After Sun, and many more indie films that aren't famous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Survived whole covid era in Australia
- Lived in and volunteered for an off-grid animal sanctuary in Australia
- While volunteering, I and 5 other people took turns cooking. And mine was everyone's favorite. People would talk about how good it was even the next day or next month 😆

Teach, Learn, Share

Language, culture, politics, history, travel stories...
I can recommend my favourite indie musics.
If you're vegan, I can tell you how to eat vegan and recommend you vegan restaurants in South Korea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I can cook delicious Korean food (rated 11/10 by friends) if I can find ingredients. Otherwise I can cook something else!
- I can help you with house chores!
- Recommendation on Korean indie music and films if you like 🎬🎵
- Recommendation on things to do in South Korea and Australia (that are not google-able)
- Good conversation and travel stories 🌍
- Invitation to my home 🏠 when I have a place to host in the future.
- I can probably help you with your computer's issue. (I studied computer science)
