我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to participate in whatever way I can. Obviously I want to host and surf but aside from this I would like to contribute financially to help the organization stay afloat and I would like to work with people to set up meaningful travel experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the moment I have no SouchSurfing experience, but I have had the privilege of travelling a lot and meeting fascinating people. I have also been lucky to have hosted some pretty cool people in the past.

I love the outdoors and activities that involve the outdoors whether in the water or on the land. I like to hike, am a dreadful cyclist, I enjoy swimming and would like to surf some day. I also like to learn about the culture and history of places I visit. I was a history student in university and always like to visit places I read about in books. I enjoy good food and cooking. i like to hang out and have fun with others. I also enjoy driking a nice beer on a warm afternoon or a glass of wine with my meal.

One book I am reading currently is Shantaram by Gregory Roberts (part adventure, part travelogue, searing social commentary and all true)I highly recommend the book for those who are interested in adventure or learning a little about India. I enjoy the books of Jon Krakauer; he has a way of capturing the wanderers spirit, in all its aspects.
