About Me

Hello, who has lovely heart like you :)
My name is Haein Jung, if you feel difficult to pronounce it, you can call me Grace. When I was living in England, I chose that name which is directly translated from my Korean name. Lots of people call me Grace too!

At the moment, I am studying language in Strasbourg, France and preparing to enter for a master in Psychology. I am fascinated by lots of different culture and social norms, and eventually how it effects us. I am planing to do cross cultural study among Korea, England, and France.

I love discovering new cultures, meeting new people and getting inspired by you all. I am a feminist, humanist, animal lover and a gourmet.

I'd like to meet you, share our mind, thought, and a bit of soul, hehe!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people from all different cultural and spiritual backgrounds. It opens a new door which I cannot easily experience form my daily life. When a new person knocks on my door, I get excited, and I am happily a bit nervous as well. I'd like to share my bits with and mainly walk into the world the new person brings on their back and heart. Welcome!

Also, I'd love to knock on your door with a bit of shy face on me, walk into your world little by little experiencing the whole new world you open for me.

Interests

I love cooking! I love inviting people, and cook for them. When I get stressed, I tend to try a new recipe, and get soothed by the sound of chopping veggies, sizzling on a frying pan, and the smell of the whole process. I love the new idea of scratching from the beginning and creating a fantastic dish.

As all foodies do, I love discovering a new restaurant, a pretty cafe, and hidden places which make me feel like 'this is for me!'

Furthermore, I love watching films and series! I tend to share a long range of my film list with others who share the same taste.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite films are,
the Dreamer, Amelia, Attila Marcel, all Lars Von Trier films except Antichrist (too violent for me), films by , Ki-duk Kim, and Joon-ho Bong, etc. To be honest, too many to write down the names.

My favorite book is 'Tuesday with Morrie' among all others because it taught me and inspired me what kind of life I want to have and what I have to do for that.
