I'm a creative and freelance writer hoping to get into travel editorial.

Home is Tampa, Florida; I went to college in Virginia; after that, I moved to O’ahu for a year before returning to Tampa to take care of family during a crisis. Now, I’m deciding where to land next (so not currently open to hosting — but in the future, plan to be!) Ideally Jackson, Park City, Charleston, New Orleans, or NYC.

When not working, I've been running a book review blog for ten years. I'm also finishing up revisions on a manuscript!

When not making art or reading, I’m probably at a dance studio or chipping away at an instrument. I’m a hobbyist at heart, and passionate about anything expressive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A lot of people I know have abroad experiences by spending a semester in Europe -- traveling through hostels and exploring -- but not a lot of my peers seem to do the same in the US. I'm always saving up for plane tickets/gas. I'm a huge believer in kindness and active listening, so I'm always down to listen to people who want to share their towns and experiences. (But I'm also totally fine to stay out of your way as well and be as minimal as desired!) As an avid reader (100+ books a year) and an artistic human, I make a lot of interdisciplinary connections and love to learn from other people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finished writing a book. Travel-wise, my favorite experience is probably the thermal baths in Zurich -- you can see the entire city.

I can teach you calligraphy, get you started on piano or guitar, give you a ton of book recommendations, listen, sketch/watercolor for you, or just be a good conversation partner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wine, beer, or sober cocktails; perhaps dinner! Also get lots of samples (I write mostly as a product reviewer) and always happy to share the love.
