Moin! I'm a marine biologist from Alaska currently getting my masters in Kiel in Biological Oceanography at GEOMAR. A bit on the nerdy side, with a greenish thumb (all of my cacti are still alive) and I'm trying to see as much of the country as I can while I'm here.

I listen to pretty much everything except heavy metal.

I'm currently finishing the Graceling Realm trilogy, I read mostly fantasy or sci-fi but occasionally branch out to Carl Hiassen or James Patterson. I grew up, like so many, on Harry Potter and will occasionally reread them for the 7th or 20th time. I lean towards Marvel over DC and am somehow not up to date on GOT (I'm working on it I swear).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went diving in chummed water with tiger sharks off Beqa, Fiji. They're really cute in a toothy kinda way.

I always hold board game nights for my friends and have taught a few people how to knit and crochet.
