Overview
About Me
My name is Grace, and I am an American recent university graduate from South Carolina who is currently teaching English in secondary schools in beautiful Austria. I'm mostly a solo traveller who loves singing, dancing, tasting new beer, and experiencing new things. Especially when that comes to travel and cultural experiences.
Speaking for myself, I would say I am more introverted than extroverted, but I find it extraordinarily easy to talk to strangers and am so engaged in one-on-one conversations that most can never tell. I am someone who loves popping her own bubble - always deliberately trying to see beyond my own perspective in the world. I am also very passionate about encouraging youth in the US to pursue a foreign language to increase the bridges we can build with others through cultural exchange.
When I travel places I always look for delicious brews, modern art museums, quality dessert, and live music. Maybe a great club with trance music to dance the night away.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From August 2017 to July 2018 I will be back in Europe traveling and living in Austria as I work as an English language assistant. Travel Priorities: Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Wales, and Greece in that order.
And as anyone on here already knows, Couchsurfing is clearly a great way to do that affordably and in a way that allows me to better connect to the places I'm visiting. Duh. :P
Interests
For those couchers or surfers looking to socialize with me as a guest, I'm totally down for some beer drinking, karaoke, or clubbing if there's a good DJ. Or perhaps you know a great hiking trail - take me with you!
