Overview
About Me
Current Mission:
Always keep an open mind and open heart. Take everything as a learning experience and learn from your past. Most importantly: have fun!
A little bit about me:
I am an outgoing college student trying to enjoy as much as life has to offer. I love meeting new and interesting people, traveling, listening, reading, learning, and just being me.
Philosophy:
I really try to view everything as a learning experience, regardless if it was positive or negative. I like to reflect on my experiences and figure out what I didn't know previously and how I can improve myself as a person. Recently, I've started trying to not place so much importance on material things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
How I participate in Couchsurfing:
I am semi-new to Couchsurfing, but I would love to start using it more often. To me, it is a fun, interesting, and, most importantly, safe way to travel. Once I settle down and have a place of my own, I aim to start hosting people frequently.
Couchsurfing Experience:
I have only Couchsurfed a couple of times so far (while I was studying abroad in Mexico), but I have had great experiences. I've met amazing people, gotten great advice from locals and have had overall really positive travel experiences through Couchsurfing. I am hoping to continue 'surfing' and meet people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love, love, love movies! All types, but especially thought-provoking, award winners. Documentaries are my favorite. I am always up to watch a good movie with you! Music is also important to me. I like music with a good beat and interesting lyrics from all decades, but especially the 70s (like James Taylor!). And, of course, reading is one of my greatest hobbies. I love historical fiction! I am currently working on finishing Amazon's 100 Best Books list, but I have quite a few to go.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My 22 year old brother was killed by a drunk driver in 2011. Ever since, every time I see a butterfly I feel his presence and spirit reinvigorate me. That's my amazing thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
