HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My partner Eddy and I love hosting people in Sydney when we can! Right now we're travelling until Feb, 2018 so are on the surfing side.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although it's not reflected on my profile, I've done a lot of couchsurfing! We've hosted surfers in Richmond, Va and in Sydney. My favorite couchsurfing experiences have been visiting friends we've hosted or vice versa - it always feels like a reunion with an old friend, even if I only knew them for a few days. Couchsurfing has always proven to be the best way to experience a new place - people are 100x more interesting than than sightseeing. I've been a surfer in Turkey, Italy, France, Croatia, Puerto Rico, India, and other places that I can't think of right now.

favorites are always shifting!

Music: Folk and Americana, whoever I've most recently heard at a folk festival, whatever music is good enough to overcome dancing-shyness

Books: Anything and everything by Margaret Atwood, speculative and dystopian fiction, and any solid escapist novels, whatever I'm reading for my feminist book club

Shows: Ever since I started working as a social worker, I've stayed away from heavy things and have a serious appreciation of comedy. Brooklyn 99 and the Good Place, and Planet Earth are incredibly comforting and re-watchable.

Having studied geology and social work, I have a strange and disconnected set of skills. If you need a rock identified, or any emotions analysed, I'm your girl!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

The usual - good conversation over some drinks, a home cooked meal (probably simple curry), and a genuine interest in connecting with new people! And some beginner-level ukulele songs, and most likely a drawing of any animals around.
