关于我

CURRENT MISSION

I'm just collecting profundity, really. I don't want to regret anything.

ABOUT ME

I am a grad student at A&M for water resources engineering. My current passions are getting through school and volunteering with Engineers Without Borders. I'm was the project lead for the Engineers Without Borders - TAMU Costa Rica Project through the design and successful implementation of a computer center for a rural school. Right now I serve as the Vice President of Projects.

I love meeting new people and conversation. In fact, I think it's one of the most important things to do in life. Eventually, I would like to work on international development or disaster relief projects overseas.

PHILOSOPHY

I think people are the most important thing in life. Hardly anything worth doing can (or should) be done alone. All of our experiences are created and amplified when other people are involved. We should probably be exuberant about meeting new people, maintaining relationships, and exchanging ideas.

If you saw two guys named Hambone and Flippy, which one would you think liked dolphins most? I'd say Flippy, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong though. It's Hambone.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have made several good friends through couchsurfing in Austin and San Antonio. I have had several people surf my couch as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of my good friends Alejandro held a large party at his house for couchsurfers in Austin and San Antonio. This was my first exposure to couch surfing, and it was incredible. I met so many amazing people and found out what this network was all about. Since then, several of my new friends have surfed our couch, and I hope to get more involved in couch surfing as time goes on.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In the summer of 2008, I completed the Texas Water Safari with my younger brother. The 260 mile race must be finished in less than 100 hours, and is deemed "The World's Toughest Boat Race". It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but it made a deep impression on me. You become a better person when you are pushed almost to your physical limitations and you make it out okay.

In 2009, I traveled for a month in Peru and Ecuador with my cousin Samuel and best friend Andrew. It was probably the most rock-and-roll time I've ever had. We got into some great adventures and met so many awesome people. I'll never forget it.

教,学,和分享

I try to absorb and much information as possible (I sometimes lose myself on wikipedia). I feel like I'm a pretty well-rounded guy, and have at least a little bit of a stance on just about anything.
