About Me

We are a couple - who live to travel and experience new places and meet new people We have lived and worked overseas for the last 11 years. We worked for a large international tour company. This gave us the chance to live overseas in many different countries and experience their different cultures as well as having the opportunity to travel to further places between my seasonal placements. As well as travel our other passion is food.... which I find the two make such an amazing combination. Research before traveling to a country will often be based around what food we should eat and the best local places to get it from. We are currently planning out next travels to Central America where we hope to join the Couchsurfing community for the first time to enjoy a local experience and meet some new friends. We cannot currently host fellow surfers - as we currently do not have out own place. Although we plan to return some hosting next year once we return to the UK

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel with my fiance and we like a mixture of experiences - from staying in hostels, guest houses and small hotels - I would really like to try Couchsurfing as I know that t will offer a chance to meet some great like minded people and it will offer a chance to get off the beaten track within popular travel destinations.

From experience I know that you can experience a place 100% more with the help of a local friend!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - anything with will Farrell or Leonardo DiCaprio is a good start. Wolf of wall street is up there But step brothers has to be a favourite. A good true story movie normally goes down well too. I find it hard to choose books - so I tend to take whatever is on offer from book swaps. Easy reading is usually from autobiographies, I also like to read military novels or true stories such as SAS forces stories Music is a real mixed bag anything that suites the mood. I love to listen to people's music but lazy when it comes to my own collection!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in the foothills of the Himalayas Sorry I’m going to add another ☺️ I proposed to Nikki - my fiancé at the Taj Mahal (see photos)
