About Me

This is my second CS profile. I had one, when I lived in Edinburgh, but then I moved to a small town called Renton and got a lot less guests. And then there was Covid, and I deleted the profile. I recently moved back to Aberdeen, though, so I'm starting again.

We all have differences of opinion, and that's cool. It would be boring if we all agreed on everything. But if you don't agree with me on the following points, we probably won't get along.

Black lives matter.
Trans women are women.
All women should have dominion over their own bodies.
Independence for Scotland.
Donald Trump should be in jail.
Sex work is real work.

I'm queer. And I've started realising I'm a bit gender-queer, too. I present and act as male, more-or-less by default, but I just can't be bothered with a lot of things that are considered to be traditionally masculine. I don't want to take anything away from anybody out there who is actively trans and experiencing the challenges and bigotry on a daily basis, but my own gender identity is not as clear as I once thought it was.

I'm a writer (unpublished, so far). Got three books completed and I'm trying to find publishers for them, now. I haven't been very successful so far, so I'm losing faith in them. One of them is entirely fictional and is a lot longer than a first-time novel is supposed to be. The other two are semi-fictional; about scapegoated children and narcissistic parents.

I have a couple of rules for prospective guests.
No misogyny
No homophobia
No transphobia
No fat shaming
No kink shaming
No slut shaming
No racism
No terfs
No swerfs
And absolutely NO fucking Tories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been isolated, since Covid. I want to start socialising again, and now I've got a nice, big flat for that sort of thing.
