ABOUT ME

I'm easy-going and generally chilled. I love travelling and try to take a year out to do some serious backpacking every 3-5 years. My last extensive backpacking was 6 months in Brasil over 2011/12, which is where I first heard of couchsurfing when I met a German traveller in the Pantanal region of Brasil.

I'm a bit of a risk-taker and I love meeting people from all over the world and hearing their experiences.

Travelling can be very expensive, with accommodation generally being the single greatest expense, so in these straightened times and being in a position to offer a couch, I thought why not!

PHILOSOPHY

You just have one life, so make the most of it. And never put unnecessary obstacles in the way of what you want to achieve or do - there's nothing worse than "what ifs".

My musical tastes are eclectic although I still have a soft spot for British punk/nu-wave.
