HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I've heard such great things about it that I've decided I need to try it out!

I live in a house of 6 musicians. We don't have a couchsurfing profile, but we host friends from all over the world quite frequently. We've even had 7 guests at once!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed once in Granada, Spain. It was definitely a highlight of my trip, and much more interesting than staying at a hostel!

Interessi

reading, linguistics, frisbee, singing, meditation, politics, fusball, biking, farmers markets, beer, road trips.

My main two interests right now are sustainable living and learning Spanish. I've been studying Spanish for a few years, but haven't had too many chances to absorb the language in a different country. I'm coming to Spain to go wwoofing (volunteering on an organic farm), so I'll be able to learn about living a sustainable rural lifestyle and practice Spanish at the same time.

Musica, film e libri

These days I really enjoy happy uplifting music with a positive vibe. I've been listening to lots of Brazilians music and lots of reggae. I also love folk, jazz, classical, Radiohead, and the Beatles. I think all music has something great to offer as long as money isn't the main motive behind it.

My favourite authors are John Steinbeck, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, and J.D. Salinger. I also love nonfiction books about language history and evolution, cosmology, politics, or whatever else interests me at the time.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I traveled to Baffin Island (above the arctic circle in Canada) to give music clinics to schools in extremely isolated communities. I went in March and it was -45 celcius!
