Hey, I'm Ram - 50% Norwegian, 50% Indian and 100% travelling from the South to the North of the African continent!

I am a very sociable, adaptable and caring person, with a big curiosity for other people's perspectives. I have travelled a lot and stayed with strangers, but not used couchsurfing until I arrived in Africa - I'm loving it! :)

Having worked at the UN and with other international organizations, I have a passion for cooperation and understanding across cultures and peoples. I think traveling is great for this, and it always teaches me lessons I can bring back to my work and life in general.

I fill my ears with old school rap, jazz and house, as well as movie soundtracks

I like "good" movies. For example Forrest Gump or the godfather 1 and 2 ( the third is a shame). Also got a thing for French movies.

I read varied. Currently trying to read African,literature - the Country of My Skull, Born of the Sun: a Namibian Story, The state of Africa

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I played street football in the middle of street in Conakry... with traffic still on. At times you bumb into a truck, run around a car, or play the ball between the wheels of a motorcycle (while always fearing for your life). Fun

I have studied international politics and development, and worked at the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.

I have knowledge from these experiences, but more importantly I have what I call "international curiosity" : I always want to learn more about new countries and cultures.

I was raised by a single mother, so I am programmed to help in the house. Happy to lend a hand with anything! I also enjoy cooking
