ABOUT ME

I moved to Portland, OR 4 years ago after an AmeriCorps program opened my eyes to the Pacific NW, and I love it! I like to travel, explore, camp, and backpack around the area as much as possible. I enjoy just about all sports and outdoor activities (team sports, kayaking, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, etc.). I don't need much alone time, and tend to want to be surrounded by friends most of the time. I created a card game called Blurble (BlurbleGame.com) several years ago, and that's my full-time gig. I'll be doing lots of trade shows all over the US, and I'm hoping to meet a lot of new people on those trips.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm pretty brand new to couchsurfing. I have friends in Portland who love it and have told me about their experiences. I've hung out with some of the CSing community in Portland through those friends, and everyone was really great. My first CSing experience was in Atlanta about 6 months ago where I stayed with two different hosts. I had an amazing experience in both locations and I hope to meet many more people on my travels.

Interests

I like to be active and I'm up for almost anything that gets me out and about. I like all sports and outdoor activities, with a love of rivers and lakes, and traveling them by kayak. I like games of all sorts (board, cards, party), singing and dancing, going to bars, going to concerts/performances, and traveling cities by bike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled through the San Juan islands by kayak for as many as ten days at a time. Last time I got within about 40 yards of a family of Orca whales.
