About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as I can before either it or I disappear.

ABOUT ME

I am a geology and environmental science student in Rapid city South Dakota originally hailing from a suburb of Boston Massachusetts and Salem Oregon USA, who loves both seeing the world and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life for the experiences, good or bad. Having seen more of the world and having had a fuller life will in the end make you a better person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet groups in my area and show travelers my little piece of the world. Generally I don't have the room to host, but I always make the time to meet travelers in my area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have backpacked and couchsurfed throughout much of Switzerland and France, and some of Ecuador on my way to the Galapagos.

Interests

Hiking, Biking, Rock climbing, board gaming, geology, paleontology, anything natural, baking, cooking, concert-going/music, and sitting down with a good book. Oh and Anything nerdy

Music, Movies, and Books

Music for me is weird. I listen to a strange mix of folk/powermetal, Christian and Irish rock, dubstep, and generally anything with a good drum beat.

Movies and books are often one and the same to me where I will voraciously read or watch anything, but have a special love for science fiction and fantasy (I am a nerd after all) with top favorites being, Dune, the Foundation trilogy, and Illium on the book side, and Beyond the Boundary, and Firefly/Serenity on the movie side.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing ten total strangers become fast friends for the rest of their lives over a simple game of liars dice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can easily teach about the earth around us, its past, and its possible futures through the guise of paleontology and geology. I also actively "teach" ways to bring new people together through tabletop/board games which have become the easiest way to meet new people almost anywhere.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, give me the ingredients and some time and dinner will be served. Then if you want to relax I can bring out my board games I generally have one to two if not ten on my person at all times. Finally, need some help around the house I'll gladly help, and try to make the time spent as fun as I can.
