Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Graziela, but most people call me Gra 😊
I’m an English teacher from Brazil, passionate about languages, culture, and all the unexpected conversations that travel brings. I’m the kind of person who can happily talk about life, books, travel stories, or why coffee somehow tastes better in every new city.
I love exploring places slowly — walking around, noticing architecture, getting lost (the good kind of lost), and discovering those small local spots that never appear in guidebooks.
Personality-wise? Friendly, curious, respectful, easygoing, and always happy to share a laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe the best part of traveling isn’t just the place — it’s the people.
I love the idea of cultural exchange, genuine connection, and experiencing destinations through local eyes rather than just as a tourist.
Also… hotels don’t tell stories. People do ✨
Interests
I’m fascinated by people’s stories and how different cultures shape the way we see the world.
I love cities, especially observing how people live, move, connect, and create their routines. I’m also a runner, so I often explore places by running — it’s my favorite way to feel a city’s energy.
I enjoy meaningful conversations, but also light, funny, random ones. Balance is everything 🙂
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Eclectic by nature, Brazilian at heart ❤️
I love Brazilian music, indie, and rock. My playlists have mood swings — just like me after coffee 😄
Books:
Proud Jane Austen admirer ✨
I’m drawn to historical romance and thrillers. I either want elegance, drama, and longing… or plot twists and mild emotional chaos.
Movies & Series:
Romantic comedies from the 2000s have a special place in my heart.
I also love comedies and suspense — because life should be both fun and slightly mysterious.
Recommendations are always welcome 🙂
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling has given me many unforgettable moments — from wandering through historic streets in Europe to discovering beautiful hidden places in Brazil.
But honestly? Some of the most incredible experiences were simple ones: unexpected friendships, long conversations, and those “this is exactly where I’m supposed to be” moments.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share:
• Brazilian culture and lifestyle
• Language exchange (Portuguese / English)
• Travel stories
• Good conversations
• Possibly some Brazilian expressions you’ve never heard before 😄
I’d love to learn about:
• Your culture
• Local perspectives
• Hidden spots
• Your favorite everyday routines
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m the kind of guest who is respectful, clean, and easy to live with.
I value your home, your space, and your routines. I adapt easily and believe Couchsurfing is built on mutual kindness and good vibes.
I can offer:
• Great conversations
• Cultural & language exchange
• Positive energy
• Independence (no need to entertain me!)
And if we end up laughing over coffee or sharing stories, that’s always a win
