Upd. Because of Russian invasion to Ukraine, we can no longet stay in Russia. We are against this horrific unprovoked war, we think it is a big crime and we do not want to take any part in this attrocity. We pray for peace and for love between nations, not killings. We are currently on our way to Australia where our relatives live, but we will be in transit until we get the visas for Ramazan and Veronika. For some reason, Australia is very slow with approving visas.

Hi everyone! My name is Mikhail, and on my avatar with me is also my wife Veronika :). I am a professional photojournalist (flickr.com/photos/greenmih/albums/) and Veronika is a professional yoga teacher! We are non-smoking, non drinking family of 4, including our 20 y.o. son Ramazan (a very talented singer, musician, poet), and 3y.o. daughter Miroslava (a very talented future ballerina probably :). We do what we can to help our homeplanet (Earth) strive, blossom and be well! We think that it is up to us to change the way we live in order to save our homeplanet!
I spent 4-5 years in Australia, which gave me good english, but Veronika is only learning :). We would love to see guests in our house, as soon as we settle in a new place!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me and Veronika travelling is everything, and we do it as much as we can! We also always welcome our friends from overseas and other regions of Russia to stay in our home! I believe we live in amazing time, when people really have opportunity to see what the outer world is like, to see the bigger picture!

Interests

Aside from photography, my interests are: exploring nature ( mostly hiking), ancient history, 3d reconstructions! I have a project to reconstruct ancient past in 3d!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave up the lone wolf theory and got married :).

Participated in a fire-fighting operation in Portugal onboard a Be-200 amphibious plane (Extreme!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lots of stories from my life as a photojournalist. I have been to a couple of wars, seen a revolution... I can make you a photosession, teach you photography too! My wife is a yoga teacher, she can give lessons and she can give advice on health, food habits. Our son Ramazan is a talented singer and a song-writer, he can do a concert :)
