About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To discover the secret of jitterbug perfume and otherwise enjoy life.
ABOUT ME
My hair has a mind of its own. Which usually means that it's out of control and curly. I don't even attempt to tame it most of the time. Post-european travel adventures, I'm (only slightly) burned out on travel and giving serious thought to settling down...for a few months anyways. I'm weird, wacky, a self-proclaimed dork, but not a complete social dunce. :) Some days I'm a chatterbox, other days, I'm more of a hermit. Generally, I'm the friendly, beaming smile sort. Except on mornings when I'm required to haul myself out of be earlier than I'd like.
PHILOSOPHY
Take each day as it comes and try not to taint it with the past. Live in the moment and learn to love the everyday things. Have the courage to make a fool of yourself and when in doubt, dance.
Interests
Zillions of things, but for starters...jazz music-both vocal and instrumental, photography, occasional kayaking, Calvin and Hobbs comic books, The Far Side comic books, natural history museums, dance-especially latin, but I want to learn Italian and belly dancing, cooking, laughing (a lot), wine, stargazing, denying my caffeine addiction. I'm also a diehard bibliophile and get weird thrills out of historical and sociollinguistics. Yep. Self-proclaimed nerd. :)
In a year I'll be attending Naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Until then I plan on WWOOFing and vagabonding my way around Europe.

Books: Jitterbug Perfume, Shogun, The Alchemist, Vagabonding (by Rolf Potts), Travels with Charlie, Lolita, The Power of One, Gates of Fire, A Sense of the World, Water for Elephants, all of Robin Hobbs' triologies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw Aida at the Seattle opera house last Sunday and was almost moved to tears...as cliche as that sounds. No recorded music can compare to a live performance where the music truly fills your entire being.
