About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning from others, surprising myself, exploring places I've never been, taking in all the little beautiful things, and surrendering more.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 28 year old guy who grew up in a picturesque beach town outside Los Angeles. I love exploring. I believe that it's nearly impossible to ever really "know" a place, but I like to try. So I enjoy walking, taking photos, listening. I find everyday life really fascinating - the little things. I'm eager to explore and find new things wherever and whenever I can.

I'm pretty easy going. Nice, friendly, etc. Respectful. Funny. Wait, if I claim funny, do I have to crack a joke to prove it? Err. Come back to me. Also, I don't want to make it seem from the paragraph above that I'm just all about, how do you put it - artsy bullshit? I like going out, drinking, dancing, the usual. Hanging out in parks and at the beach. I'm a pretty social person and enjoy striking up conversations with strangers.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know if I really have a philosophy that's set in stone, but if I do - it's first and foremost, just be nice to people. I really think that's the key to everything. Beyond that I always try to question everything. I don't really even mean that in the political way. More like, being present and able to notice something unusual.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a lot. For movies...I'm not too picky. If it's a good movie I will probably like it. I have a bit of a penchant for classics and more experimental stuff, but I still appreciate a great Hollywood movie. It doesn't really matter the genre.

Music! All over the place. Punk, soul, reggae, experimental stuff, indie, electronic music, hip hop, classic rock. I have favorites in most every genre. I have a radio show where I get to play all kinds of music and I love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite places ever is the Camera Obscura in Santa Monica, CA. If you ever have a chance to go inside a real functioning camera obscura, you should definitely go for it! It's a thing of indescribable beauty. It's a projection of real life that doesn't look real. But it also doesn't look like photo, or video. It's just something totally unique and mesmerizing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you - Internet stuff. Graphic design. Web design. How to use your DSLR. How to use Photoshop. Video editing. Computer things.
