Overview
About Me
I grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh then lived in the city during and after college. I also spent a year living in Philadelphia, so feel free to ask me for Ben Franklin fun facts. (He holds a patent for using a dog as a hat!) I'm a software engineer working on artificial intelligence that hopefully won't take over my job.
I'm on the quiet side, but I'm pretty good at listening. I can usually recommend interesting things people like. I enjoy seeing all the different things we take for granted living in the same place like how milk comes in a bag in Canada.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books that build entire worlds in a few sentences.
Kafka, Borges, Saunders, Clowes, Cortazar, Portis.
Slow movies where nothing much happens in a fascinating way. Le Samouraï, Red Desert, Meek's Cutoff, The Man Who Wasn't There, Fishing With John.
Yo La Tengo, Drive-by Truckers, Townes Van Zandt, The Mountain Goats, The Feelies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Escaped a giant Indiana Jones boulder (maybe just a giant beach ball) while collecting priceless artifacts (maybe just plastic cones).
Did karaoke on stage with a real life Skeletor, and was even weird enough to get an encore.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm super into board games. I never leave home without a small stash of games to teach and play with the people I meet.
