I am from Scotland. I am 39yr old professional male working in engineering. My last job in Australia recently ended, and l am taking a work break and doing some travelling. To kick off my travels, I have embarked on a lap of Australia:
June - July 2016 : driving from Perth to Darwin.
July-August 2016: travelling down east coast. Cairns, Brissy, Sydney, Melbourne....
9 - 14 August: hanging out in Melbourne, keen to hangout with any couch surfers.

Looking to keep the cost down! Travelling by myself thus far, so seems like a good way to meet locals and learn more about the areas I am visiting.

Mostly into doing outdoor stuff like running, cycling, trail walks. But now that I find myself in SE Australia in winter the weather isn't being very amenable.

Happy to visit museums and other points of interest.

I'm open to catching up with anyone for meals; brekky, lunch, dinner, and coffees or beers.

I am pretty easy going where entertainment is concerned. I like to get a taste of most genres. Though lean toward alternative rock for tunes. I am trying to find more time to read.

Climbed Mount Kinabalu. Monument Valley in AZ/UT. Ridden mountain bikes in Canada, New Zealand, California, Colorado, Utah. I'm going to Nepal in September for a month of hiking. I hope also to hike in Peru and Patagonia later in the year.
