About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life while making the lives of others enjoyable.

ABOUT ME

If you've read the above, it may seem as if a lot of my life revolves around beverages, and in this assumption you would be correct. However, I am not really one to party excessively, and given preference I would choose to stay in and read or be active outdoors.
For a time, I was heavily involved in music and had a great opportunity to tour some of Europe while singing in a vocal jazz group. It seemed Japan was an illogically logical next step, and so this is to be my destination in the next week or two.

PHILOSOPHY

Namaste.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I am just a surfer. I would look into hosting at a later date, but being as my trip is so near, I'm afraid the timing would be very poor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but perhaps looking.

Interests

Literature and music are very important to me, as are well done pieces of cinema or art. I love being fit, will catch a yoga class if the timing allows, and am somewhat martial arts obsessed, though I have been out of practice for a while now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really too many of each here. You'll get my favorites then... Music: Right now it's a band called Glasvegas, from Scotland. My favorite song may very well be Stir it Up, by Bob Marley. Movies: Favorite by far is Lost In Translation, but a good runner up is High Fidelity. Books: The History Of Love, by Nicole Krauss is the closest thing to poetry in the form of a novel that I have ever read, and on the subject of poetry, Book Of My Nights is a great collection of poems by Li-Young Lee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved someone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could give you voice lessons, teach you how to make a killer martini and host a professional-grade dinner party. I can have a conversation about almost anything, and maybe even be entertaining while doing so. I could also teach you how to disarm someone who is wielding a weapon, not that it is practical knowledge in my part of the country, but still... perhaps useful?
