ABOUT ME

Hey!

We live in York, England. Greg manages an underground tapas & cocktail bar and I (Melina) work at a steak & ale restaurant. We are currently saving up to move to Spain, and have been teaching ourselves Spanish for over a year now so (hopefully) we should be able to hold a conversation.

Although we both work in hospitality at the moment, our aspirations lie elsewhere; Greg would like to work in the documentary-film industry and I hope for a future working with animals. But before then, we have a lot of world to travel!

We live with our housemates Sarah & Alex, and between us have 2 pet rats (Penny Lane & Eleanor Rigby) and a cat (Flash). There are always plenty of places to sleep (a spare room and sofa bed) and our general house motto is 'There's always room for one more'.

We travelled Eastern Europe together in 2011 and hope to see South America and Asia sooner rather than later. Greg spent some time in America on an study abroad programme, while there he hitchhiked from New Hampshire to Chicago for charity.

A few years ago, we had a different couch surfing profile while living in a shared student house; we hosted around 25 surfers and had some epic parties!

We hosted quite a few people a few years ago (in another house), and Greg has couchsurfed in Belgium and Netherlands before.
