About Me

Hello 🍃 I'm currently doing an ESC volunteering in Sweden, until October. I'm enjoying the outdoor life, gardening and the community living that we have in this beautiful and inspiring place.
In general, I'm always enthusiastic about trying different experiences and seeing new places. I'm a calm, curious and open-minded person. I easily connect with people, especially in one-on-one conversations. I consider myself a good listener, curious about other people's stories and nonjudgmental. I am patient, but at the same time I cannot stand abuse, violence and discrimination.
I have many interests and I like to find myself in new situations, I enjoy mostly hiking, slow traveling, traditional music, and dancing (a lot!!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I started taking part in some international programs, such as some Erasmus programs and student festivals, I realized the richness and potential that people from different countries bring while they're together.
I like connecting with locals to get to know a place from different perspectives, enjoy my time abroad with other enthusiastic travelers and spend some time together.

Interests

My main interest lies in education and working with young people; in fact, over the past two years, I have been teaching mathematic in a high school and been part of a teachers organisation aimed to foster inclusion in the classroom and to provide the students what they need for a better and personalised learning.

Apart of that, in my free time I developed a passion to folk music and dancing; I also try to nourish my body with movement activities such as hiking, running, yoga and other dancing styles, like tango and contact dance. In the past few months, I have felt a strong urge and motivation to look for new
ways of expressing myself and I am having a phase of exploring different activities in order to enjoy things that contribute to my well-being and learn to communicate emotions in different ways.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to meet other travelers and locals to experience local traditions, visit places, and maybe do some sports together. I'm open to learning some sentences in your language if it's new for me, and listening to your story. I can share my experience in Erasmus youth exchanges, teach some Italian, and share with you my folk music playlist.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If the host has free time and wants to spend some time together I would be very happy, but at the same time I'm independent and can organize my stay autonomously.
I can bring some food from where I'm currently staying, share some recipes and cook together. If I can do something in the house I'm also happy to help :)
