ABOUT ME

Seasons change. I live in Belgium, now for a few years. Fate has a strange way of landing. I have my wooden caravan. I play the saxophone badly, with the shutters closed to confuse the neighbors. I create ceramic "things." I lovingly tend to growing plants and somehow still kill them within the month.

Walking, cycling, staring at things until my eyes go blurry, counting backwards, tea... coffee... drawing moustaches on passport photographs, poker with pasta, environmental issues and solutions, botany, miracles in everyday situations.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In Gabon, in the forest, trying to be a brave scientist and not jump at every leaf fall, suddenly I hear a noise and find behind me a gorilla. Dark eyes, my heart beating like a hammer. Now it seems like a dream.

My studies focussed on environmental conservation and management, Botanical taxonomy, and plant biodiversity. I find all aspects of the natural world fascinating, and am always eager to share and learn more about things around me.
