About Me
Hello, I'm Greg from Tbilisi, Georgia (country). Travelling has been my favorite thing kind of always, but it really sky rocketed since my trip to Italy and Switzerland last year. Currently I'm studying Computer sciences in my hometown and aspire to be a programmer - overcoming different challenges is one of my biggest interests right now.
My current mission is attending a 10-day Vipassana retreat in Florence - to learn how to meditate profoundly and integrate it in my life afterwards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that you can capture true spirit of the country or the city mainly when you meet and interact with local people. For me Couchsurfing is a wonderful way of connecting people around the Globe, who probably couldn't meet each other otherwise. This opportunity of establishing true communication with various kinds of people is the main reason I'm surfing and not staying at a hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm familiar with lots of genres of music, however, my favorite one right now is Indie and Alternative Music. I also like light jazz like Chet Baker and romantic classical music like Debussy. In Movies& Books section - all kinds of genres, varying from strictly non-fictional to fictional - one of my favourites are Herman Hesse, Milan Kundera and Jean-Paul Sartre. This couldn't also go without my undying love for Lord of the rings, which is greatest fantasy trilogy so far, however, I like Independent movies and Arthouse movies. One of my favorites are Stanley Kubrick and Terrence Malick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've travelled in one of the most beautiful regions of Georgia - Tusheti - on horse. This region is full with mountains and is bordering Russia. Most of the people have already left Tusheti because of the snowy weather and challenging environment and it was really beautiful to wander around the small empty villages on horse.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Georgian words, which are really hard to pronounce, plus I can bring some Georgian wine, which is one of the best wines in the world (Georgia is the homeland of wine officially) and whatever else that you'd like.
I can also introduce you to the intricacies of my quite interesing country - Georgia, which is currently bordering on European and Asian cultures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you my experience and knowledge about programming, life in post-soviet country, arts and literature and etc.
