Hello !

I am Yohan Verdier, a 27 years old product designer, illustrator and photograph. I was recently working on digital projects in a startup at Nantes in France about the user experience and interface as well as the frontend development.

In 2016, I did a one year trip by hitchhiking from Nantes in France until Beijing in China back and forth by following the Silk Road and the Transiberian ! It was during this trip that I figured out Couchsurfing.

In 2019, I travel anew for one year by bikepacking the Andes and the Panamerican Road from the Land of Fire until the Antilles ! After a whole year hitchiking, I want to experience more autonomy in wilderness by cycling remote tracks. Though I always share these trips with friends, still I want to meet new people and experience their way of living !

PS : I use Couchsurfing a lot though it doesn't look like because my co-traveler use it way more than me ;)

As I use to travel a lot with few, Couchsurfing makes sense about spend good times with different people. Yet I got almost always good experiences, this concept is dope !

兴趣

Geography lover, I also like history, cartography and litterature. I am quite sensitive to ecology, minimalism and spirituality. And I enjoy sport, the outdoors and wilderness above all. Born in Haute Savoie in the french Alps, mountains are a natural terrain for me. And I love to cook and eat healthy and vegetarian food !

I am currently reading Brave New World from Aldous Huxley and listening to When The End Began from Silent Planet. The last movie I really appreciated was My Sweet Pepperland from Huner Saleem.
