I enjoy the finer things in Life but am also comfortable eating street food (especially if the guide books say do NOT eat the street food), having an adult beverage or five in a dive bar, and staying in hotels where the shower consists of a bucket of cold water and a plastic cup.

Argh -- yet another loooooong list and I am tired of typing already!

However:

Musically I tend to listen to rock-n-roll from the '60s and '70s. I was into reggae in the '70s when it wasn't cool and/or popular.

I like going to movies but I tend to forget them 10 minutes later. Exceptions: anything Monty Python.

I read anything and everything -- altho I must admit that recently my tastes tend to be either WWII histories or "popular" fiction like Connelly, Balducci, et al.

Not sure I will ever use a host -- I tend to enjoy my privacy and am fortunate enough to have the means to stay in hotels.

However, I would gladly treat local folks to breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, museums, art galleries, spa treatments, etc., in exchange for good local info!
