Originally from Massachusetts, I teach middle school social studies in El Salvador, and I also have a non-profit association I've founded that has already helped hundreds of Salvadoran adults and youth.
I'm on couchsurfing because of the amazing people I've met: circumnavigating musicians, 20 year olds discovering the land they were born but never knew. Spaniards learning the native language of El Salvador on a 1-year abroad program. Rock-climbers. Several times, people who had decided to look for something more profound than the normal daily grind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's nothing like receiving unexpected help when you're traveling in Central America— especially if you're backpacking or hitchhiking. If you want to get know El Salvador better, I'd like to help.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, it's pretty amazing to read a book in the hammock in the back yard in December while there's a blizzard back in Massachusetts.
