ABOUT ME

You might be wondering why I gathered you here today. If not, read anyway.

I'm a music hearing, game playing, interaction designing, web programming and photography taking wildebeest. Ok, so wildebeest is not the best analogy, but you get the basic idea. I am, as of now, completely new to this site (and to the city I'm living in... and the country), but be that as it may, I am more than willing to join in some of this couch-surfing fun times I've heard so much about.

The one thing you really need to know about me is that, while I may seem shy at first when you meet me in person, that doesn't really last (it helps if I'm talking english, as my german is not really great at the moment).

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life and people are not as complex as they appear. I myself am like that. I also think that movies have taught me more about real life than real life itself (not romantic comedies, mind you). Finally, I believe Peanuts should be mandatory reading for everyone throughout their entire life.

I just joined, so I really don't know. I don't have a couch tho, so, as much as I would like to host, I can't. T_T

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a complete couchsurf virgin.

Interests

Music, Photography, Design, Interaction and all around everything (except from sports, not really my thing). I enjoy a good drink, a good meal, a good book or a good movie with the same level of enthusiasm.

Now, all seriousness aside, my main hobby is photography, I am passionate about music as a whole and my day to day includes programming stuff for the internet, and thinking about ways to change the way people interact with machines, each other and the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: anything by Terry Pratchett, Haruki Murakami, Neil Gaiman, Rayuela by Julio Cortázar, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Dickens and a lot of other things.

Movies: Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Coen Brothers, some of Lars Von Trier (Melancholia is beautiful), Gondry does some good things, Scorsese is a genius and everything that Pixar has ever done (Wall-E... sigh)... well, yeah, I watch a lot of movies.

Music: All sort of eclectic things. That does exclude, mind you: Hip Hop and most Rap and Heavy Electronic. Among favorites are: Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Crystal Castles, Caravan Palace, The XX, Phoenix, St. Vincent, Foals, etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once won a paid roundtrip, ticket and hotel room to see Coldplay (not my favorite band, but it was free !) by playing Guitar Hero.

I know, that won't amaze anyone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: Web development, Photography, Video Games, Marketing knowledge, and math logic.

I would like to learn: a whole lot of things, don't really have a list of everything I'd like to learn in my mind.
