About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travel, learn, cherish friends, enjoy it all.
ABOUT ME
My friends know it- I'm always on the road, be it for projects I am working on or the sheer pleasure of being out there. I really enjoy exploring places and getting to know people.
I enjoy living to the fullest all of life's small pleasures, from discovering a remote village in Turkey to cooking a meal for friends and chatting for hours.
I dislike traveling in touristy-overcommercialized places and enjoy getting immersed in vibrant local cultures. My personal favorites by now have been Georgia and Bosnia, countries with gorgeous landscapes and a big soul, Georgia, Cuba's incredible old towns and scenery, but also rural Romania, where things still go at a different pace and there is no other milk than whole. My nightmare- a life in a place like Atlanta, trapped in a car and shopping malls.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I discovered CS through my Dutch friends, with whom I was traveling in Armenia in 2008. We stayed over at Maria's, a Polish Eurovolunteer in Yerevan, who was really wonderful. It was when Russia got into Georgia, so we shared the floor with some Polish mountaineers who had to flee Georgia. A memorable time!
