Can't stay with favourite neither sound nor movie. Too much to explore ;) But giving it a try let's list some fromt the top of my mind:

- movies? Hmm, Fight Club, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, Back To The Future, Training Day, True Detective, The Get Down, Rounders...
- books: The Hyperion by Dan Simmons, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, Devil's Machine by Casandra Clare, lots of Lem's books.
