ABOUT ME

I am between jobs / careers and took the oppurtunity to take off and see the world. I love to meet local people when I visit places because otherwise you just see the surface of things and what fun is that? I read a lot and have plenty of great recommendations for good books. Favorite activities include kitesurfing, flying, and was recently certified for scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef! What better place to learn is there?

PHILOSOPHY

The more people we meet and experiences we have the better off we will be in life. The world is just getting smaller and eventually we will have to all learn to live together.

It's great meeting people from all over and I would be happy to host when I return to real life, wherever it is I end up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just beginning! But staying with friends old or new is always better than a hotel or hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

all kinds, too many to list. I'll give it a short summary of books: Stephen King, Harry Potter series, Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan, Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, good science fiction (currently the Orson Scott Card 'Ender' series), interesting physics / history / natural history books (Guns Germs and Steel was great and Collapse by the same author even better). I'm always reading something and like to alternate subjects. Just finished Bill Bryson's The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid, hilarious story about growing up in 50's in the US.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
