ABOUT ME

I am VERY EXCITED about visiting PUERTO RICO soon! :)

I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I am Salvadoran, but grew up in California. I am currently in school pursuing a Master of Social Work degree. I'm am the kind of person that loves to learn from different people and different places. I am amazed by the world that surrounds us, and enjoy trying new and different food, and learning about different landscapes, people, and cultures. I am very simple, and don't need much to make me happy. I feel very lucky to have been blessed with good energy in my life, and try my best to reflect that back into the world. I love wholeheartedly, and genuinely. I am very transparent, and open person, and try my best to be flexible and understanding in difficult situations. I try to make the best of all situations, and enjoy balance in my life. My first couch surfing experience was in 2010, when I studied in and traveled throughout Brazil.

I am somewhat new to couchsurfing, but I am open to meeting new people and learning about different places. I am excited about exploring more parts of the world!

I love going to new places. I like the idea of going to a place that I have never seen before and learning the landscape, and learning how to get around. I love plants, and I love to garden. I love food, my favorites are cheeses and different vegetables. I enjoy the warmth of the sun and going swimming. Actually, I love to swim.

I love music, and I love dancing! I enjoy all types of music, and really appreciate it when people know how to dance.

What I've come to learn:
1. Live life without regrets. Don't think twice about doing something or going somewhere if the opportunity will only present itself once, and you will regret not doing it later. Take the opportunities you are given, and learn from them.
2. Enjoy the small things. Take time to stop and enjoy the small things, life isn't about overworking, it's about family, it's about friends, about laughter and love, it's about doing things that make you happy, those little things that bring the most satisfaction- a movie with your sister, or a day at a park.
3. Take everything as an opportunity to learn and grow. Life has it's ups and downs, and we grow. We grow.
4. Be humble. I think it's important to know that we all have our place in this world, not as oppressors or people who dominate over others, but as being who live in harmony with others, work hard, and try their best to be in balance with both their neighbor and nature.
